for a weekend

An active and passive weekend breaks

Gyopáros is the best choice both for an active and for a passive weekend break. You will surely be satisfied.

Your pleasant holiday is guaranteed by the calm, relaxing green surroundings and various opportunities for recreation and sport activities provided by the spa, thermal bath and adventure pools of Gyopárosfürdő. The complexity was built east of Lake Gyopáros, which is a lake system consisting of three interconnected lakes. The three lakes cover an area of 25 hectare and are surrounded by a 85 hectare park. The 30 hectare forest park is ideal place for walks, jogging or bicycle tours.

It would take at least three days to explore all these things, for those who want more sights we recommend the attractions of the neighbouring area.

First of all we should start our trip in Orosháza. It is a small town with a population of 30 000 inhabitants. We can see the signs of industrialization and those of a market town as well. Starting from architecture, economy and culture – they reflect the signs of both styles. Fortunately they have melted into a pleasant mixture, making Orosháza a nice town, where we can go for a walk. At the weekends, in the morning hours one of the must-sees is the market of local producers.

Another tip for passing your time is a trip to White Lake in Kardoskút, situated at a distance of approximately 15 minutes by car from Orosháza. It is a protected natural area, which is part of Körös-Maros National Park. The place is amazing due to its rich fauna and special birds.

Of course we will not get bored even after sunset, as the town offers a wide variety of opportunities for amusement. We can take the advantages of a great night time bathing at Gyopárosfürdő or we can go to clubs and pubs, which offer music that is popular not only among teens.
