Vila Vascsacsi

Vascsacsi Guest-house is situated 450 meters away from Gyopárosfürdő Spa complex with adventure and thermal pools, in a quiet street called Harkály. The building itself was completely rebuilt over the past years (practically leaving only the original main walls), central heating was installed and new insulation was added.

The guest-house can comfortably put up 8 guests in the 4 double rooms in the attic, out of which 2 rooms have double beds and 2 rooms have two separate single beds. Two bathrooms have been built, one downstairs (with bath & shower) and one in the attic (shower + toilet + bidet). On the ground floor there is also a separate toilet. The kitchen is equipped with ceramic hob, electric oven, microwave oven. The ground floor living room disposes of an LCD TV, a mini Hi-Fi and a sofa.

The guest-house has three terraces, two opening from the attic rooms (street side, completely wooden construction) and one on the ground floor.

In the private court yard of the guest-house there are parking places for cars, facilities for outdoor cooking and barbecuing, as well as a covered area.

Apart from the cherry tree and some special grapes, Mediterranean plants were planted.

And how come the name „Vascsacsi – Iron Donkey” ???
Our father-in law, Sándor Szitás, a retired school teacher, personally renovated the old cart, which was a typical tool of our peasant predecessors. And if you already have a cart, there should be an animal to pull it and someone to drive it. In this way was born „Uncle Pista” and the „Iron Donkey”. Both literally „tough guys”, as they are made of steel plates with the application of special machining techniques.

Needless to say that both are the children’s favourite … and to tell the truth ours, too. So much that we chose Vascsacsi-iron donkey as distinctive, emblematic figure of our guest-house.
